The New MTV Television Series, Skins.

I love this show. It actually shows real shit that's happening/happens in high schools across America. And I believe that it serves as more than just an entertainment source, it's educational. The fact that people are pissed off about it is stupid. Censorship is stupid. People in America piss me off. The public pisses me off. Human beings in general piss me off.
If you don't want your children to view material like this, than WATCH THEM. Monitor the shows they watch. Don't allow your thirteen year old daughter to have open access to television and the internet. Or better yet, TEACH them right and wrong and maybe they will realize that there are certain things they shouldn't do. But the reality is that everyone experiments with wrong. And everyone learns from those experiences.
That is all.

Grilled Tomato, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich!

This was probably the best breakfast I've ever had. It was delicious, easy to make, and the first real food item I've made since I got to college. All I've had is soup and boxed macaroni and cheese! Which is very depressing on many levels. However, I would like to say that I have been doing very well on staying away from the fast food! But, it's actually a rather easy thing to do when you have no money to speak of. :P
So, any way. On with the recipe!

1 egg
1 tbsp milk
2 slices of your favorite bread (I used whole wheat)
1 tomato (all I had were cherry tomatoes, so use anything you have!)
2 slices of your favorite cheese (muenster, provolone, cheddar, ect.)
butter to butter your bread

1. Preheat a nonstick skillet and beat the egg in a small bowl with the two tbsp of milk. Pour into pan and let cook for 15 seconds. Fold over onto its self until it's small enough to place in between your two slices of bread, then finish cooking and set aside.

2. Butter a slice of bread and place on the pan and add a slice of your favorite cheese. On top of that, place the egg you set aside, slices of tomato, and another slice of cheese. Top that off with the second slice of buttered bread and finish cooking like you would a normal grilled cheese.

Ta-da! I have a crappy cell phone picture because I left my digital camera at home, but I promise you yours will look a million times better.

Peanut Butter Fudge!

I just made this literally five minutes ago and it's amazing! My boyfriend's Mother gave me this recipe and she usually makes it around this time of year for the holidays, but it's always a good day for some fudge. Oh, and I did not take a photo because I trust you know what fudge looks like. You'll need a candy thermometer for this.

2 cups of sugar
3/4 cup of milk
2 tbsp butter

Place all of the above ingredients in a pot on the stove and cook to a soft ball (or 240 degrees Fahrenheit). Stir frequently and once the mixture reaches the desired temperature remove from heat and quickly add..

1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
6 tbsp peanut butter

Mix this together until the mixture is blended well. Then pour into a brownie pan sprayed with cooking spray and let cool. Then all you have to do it cut and eat!

I want to be a chef some day.

I just wanted to share that I am moving to study Culinary Arts at the Culinary Institute of Michigan. Hopefully I will have a lot more interesting posts soon. That is all. :)

Peanut Butter Cookies

Okay, so I don't have a way to upload any pictures at the moment because I've currently misplaced my camera's memory card. Wonderful. But, I made these cookies last night, and every time I make them they are always delicious. They're fairly easy; try them. :)

To begin, preheat your oven to 375 and get a large mixing bowl and cream together the following:

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg

Then sift in the following in 1/2 cup intervals:

1 3/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
a pinch of salt

Once all the ingredients above are combined, roll into 1'' balls and roll in sugar.
Place on a baking sheet and criss-cross with a fork.
Bake for 10-12 minutes and place on a cooling rack.
Eat as many as you can.

Cream Cheese & Brownies?!

YES, IT IS DELICIOUS.
I've recently made this discovery. If you haven't tried this, I know it sounds a bit odd, but trust me, it is wonderful. And, okay, I'm having some camera issues, so I'm going to try to find a picture of these on the internet and see if I can't post that for your viewing pleasures.

But, here's the recipe:

Cream Cheese Topping for Brownies

Ingredients:
One 8 oz. package cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup of regular white sugar
1 egg

Directions:
So you've already made your brownies, rather they were boxed or home-made, it doesn't really make a difference, now all you have to do is combine the above ingredients in a bowl and mix them well either by hand or with an electric mixer. Then drop the creamy mixture in table-spoon-full globs all over the brownie mix that you've spread in your pan. Next you can either take that same spoon, or a butter knife, or whatever utensil you prefer and stir it in a LITTLE bit. Just so it looks pretty. :)

Fairly easy, no? Anyway, this tastes great! I'm making them again at my grandma's tomorrow.
Oh, also, I'm not great on the whole home made brownies thing, so I usually just use boxed, but I found the following recipe and it was titles "Easy Brownies." If you want to give it a try, by all means. Here it is, send me some feedback if you do it.
